Since getting drafted in 2019, Maxx Crosby has worked his way all the way up the NFL ladder. Crosby is considered one of the best players at his position and will be charged with once again leading the Las Vegas Raiders defense.

Crosby wasn’t a highly-touted prospect coming out of college, but his work ethic and mindset are second-to-none. To this day, Crosby remains unsatisfied with where he wants to be individually and with where the Raiders currently stand as a team.

The All-Pro has a tenacious spirit that he displays both on and off the field, and in that vein showed off some new tattoos featuring some of sports’ greatest athletes via his Twitter account:

Getting commemorative tattoos of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Muhammad Ali is a surefire way to motivate yourself, but Crosby didn’t just stop there. The defensive end posted a heartfelt and inspirational message that will surely resonate with fans via Raiders Posts:

“Every single day you wake up you got an opportunity. I can tell you firsthand when I wasn’t working as hard, I wasn’t getting what I was getting. Three years later, I’ve been consistent, I’m non-stop, I’m passionate as ever. I’ve always had the passion, always had the mindset, but I didn’t have the -expletive’ work and consistency behind it. I’ve done it for three years now, bro, it’s changed my whole life, it’s changed my kids’ lives and their kids’ lives. My family’s lives, they’re all good everybody’s taken care of.

“But at the end of the day, all that matters is yourself. If you take care of yourself first, you can do anything in the world. You can give out happiness, you can show love, you can give back to the people you love, take care of people. That’s what it’s really about, but you can’t do that unless you take care of yourself and you love yourself. I love myself, I’m proud of myself and I remind myself every single day even though it’s -expletive- hard. It’s never -expletive- easy, but you gotta chase your -expletive- dreams. -expletive- what everyone is talking about and go do what you gotta do. That’s it.”

It’s clear that Crosby has done a lot of self-reflection and thinking over the past few years and that has served him well both personally and professionally. Las Vegas is lucky to have a leader like Crosby on the team, and it’ll be exciting to see how far he can take them when the 2023 season kicks off.
