Last week it was reported that the Oakland Raiders had reached an agreement with retired running back Marshawn Lynch to come play for Oakland.
It ended up being a false alarm though, as Lynch himself tweeted that he would let people know when it ‘got real’. With the NFL Draft looming, a deal seemed evident as Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie wanted to go into the draft knowing what positions he needs to address.
Wednesday morning it appears that deal happened, as again it was reported that the Raiders and Lynch have reached an agreement on a two-year deal worth $9 million with incentives that could bring it up to $16.5 million.
The deal also required a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, as they still had the rights to him due to his last contract. That was not an issue though as the Raiders and Seahawks were able to work out a deal, exchanging fifth and six round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
While it was being reported by every news outlet, Lynch himself had not yet let us known that it was real. Well that changed late Wednesday morning, as Lynch took to Twitter to confirm the reports:

Some of Lynch’s new Raiders teammates, defensive end Bruce Irvin, quarterback Derek Carr, outside linebacker Khalil Mack and offensive tackle Donald Penn, among others, all reacted to the news:
Woke up feeling like it was Christmas 😬😬😬
