The Las Vegas Raiders have made losing in the clutch an art form as they succumbed to another late-game comeback loss, this time at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett was able to find George Pickens in the final minute for what would be the game-winning touchdown, dealing yet another blow to the Raiders. Las Vegas was in control for most of the day but again couldn’t string together long enough drives to put the game away.

All the close losses during the 2022 season would make any player crack, and it appears Josh Jacobs is at that point as he did not mince words about his frustration via Vic Tafur of The Athletic:

Jacobs made sure to credit his defense for getting stops and put the onus on the offense to be better in second halves:

The 24-year-old has been one of the best running backs in the league this season, so naturally, he pointed out that the Raiders should have given him more opportunities to carry the football:

It’s hard to blame Jacobs for how he’s feeling after a tough loss, especially one that felt like it could’ve easily been prevented had the Raiders chosen to stick with the ground game. Although Pittsburgh did well to bottle up Jacobs for 44 yards on the ground, it still would’ve kept their defense honest whenever Las Vegas decided to throw.

Regardless, the Silver and Black need to find a way to close the year out with some positive momentum, and that might involved giving Jacobs more opportunities no matter the game script.
