Not only the United States, but the whole world is currently in a bad place due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has shut down essentially everything for the time being.

While sports have been put on hold, athletes and organizations have still done an outstanding job in the community helping those in need during this time.

That includes the Las Vegas Raiders as not only has owner Mark Davis pledged $1 million to the local community, but players like Jalen Richard, Trayvon Mullen and Nevin Lawson have all done the same as well in their hometowns.

The list of Raiders players to contribute grew even larger this week as defensive end Clelin Ferrell took to Instagram to announce that he has donated $50,000 to the Eviction Diversion Program and $50,000 to city’s Family Crisis Fund in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia:

The Raiders drafted Ferell fourth overall last year out of Clemson and although he did not meet the organization’s standards during his rookie season, they are still very high on him moving forward.

Head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have emphasized time and time again that they are looking to fill their locker room with high-character players, and Ferrell and all of the others helping out people in need during this time proves that’s exactly what they are.

There currently is no telling how long the coronavirus pandemic will last, but the hope remains that the 2020 NFL season, which will be the Raiders’ first in Las Vegas, will begin on time.
