Raiders News: Bills’ Head Coach Rex Ryan Says Oakland Is ‘A Good Football Team’

The Oakland Raiders had yet another comeback victory on Sunday as quarterback Derek Carr was outstanding in the second half of a 38-24 victory.

Trailing 24-9 in the third quarter, the Raiders rattled off 29 unanswered points to finish out the game helping them move to an AFC best 10-2 on the season.

The Bills, led by head coach Rex Ryan and his brother, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, kept Oakland out of the end zone in the first half. The Raiders exploded for four second half touchdowns though as the Bills defense had no answer for Carr and the Raiders offense in the second half.

After the game, Rex Ryan was very complimentary of Carr and the Raiders offense and football team as a whole, via Kyle Martin of

“You can’t ever have that happen to you. To their credit now this team has done this a bunch. This is a heck of an offense. When you look at it, they have a lot of weapons and their quarterback is playing extremely well. Combine that with an offensive line and good running backs I mean we knew it was going to be tough. There’s no question about it. By no means am I trying to short that team. That team is a good football team.”

The fourth quarter comeback was Carr’s sixth of the season, as he has proved that no matter how much the Raiders are down, they are never out of any game.

The Raiders defense, led by All-Pro defensive end/outside linebacker Khalil Mack also came up big in the victory, as Mack tipped a pass from Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor that caused an interception in the fourth quarter, and then late in the game he had a strip sack of Taylor that ended any possible Bills comeback attempt.
