Training Camp got off to a bit of a rough start for the Oakland Raiders as their big offseason acquisition, wide receiver Antonio Brown, reported to camp with an undisclosed injury and was played on the non-football injury list.

The Raiders would not say what the injury was, but it was reported that it was not expected to be serious, and it looks like that is the case.

Brown passed his physical on Sunday morning and was activated from the non-football injury list, so he returns to practice after missing just one day.

This is certainly positive news for the Raiders, who have already dealt with some tough injury news as running back Isaiah Crowell ruptured his Achilles during offseason workouts and will miss the entire season and projected starting left guard Denzelle Good was recently placed on the physically unable to perform list and is expected to miss at least a month.

While there was never a danger that Brown’s injury would force him to miss regular-season time, these Training Camp practices are important for him to get acquainted with his new teammates, particularly quarterback Derek Carr.

The Raiders wide receiving corps is brand new as they not only brought in Brown this offseason, but also Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, Ryan Grant and Hunter Renfrow. The Raiders also drafted a new running back in Josh Jacobs, so getting as many practice reps as possible is important for all of the new Raiders players.
