After a disappointing loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 4, help is on the way. The Oakland Raiders will have their starting quarterback, Terrelle Pryor, back against the San Diego Chargers after dealing with a concussion. He was cleared by the team’s medical staff on Wednesday and participated in practice.
The return of Pryor is much needed after an unimpressive performance by backup Matt Flynn and a hamstring injury to Darren McFadden. While Flynn was demoted to third string by the Raiders coaching staff, there is uncertainty regarding the status of McFadden. He did not participate in practice on Wednesday as he reportedly avoided a serious injury.
While McFadden will be questionable for Week 5, it is still an exciting game featuring divisional rivals. With the Oakland A’s beginning their postseason run against the Detroit Tigers, the Raiders-Chargers game was forced to move to October 6 at 8:35 p.m. Fortunately for Raiders fans, the game will be nationally televised on NFL Network.
