Raiders News: Amari Cooper Says Oakland Needs To ‘Stack’ Wins

With the halfway mark of the 2017 NFL season in the books, the playoff picture is starting to come into focus. Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and last year’s Super Bowl Champions the New England Patriots have begun to separate themselves from the rest of the league.

The Oakland Raiders were a popular Super Bowl pick prior to the new year, but have largely underwhelmed. The Raiders are out of sync on both sides of the ball and are still searching for the identity on the field.

According to a Kevin Patra of NFL, Amari Cooper is well aware of what it will take for Oakland to make the playoffs:

If you just look at the numbers, you pretty much have to get 10 wins to get into the playoffs, sometimes more than that,” receiver Amari Cooper said. “So, where we’re sitting at now, we can only possibly get 11, so of course we’re going to have to stack up these wins.”

The Raiders are currently 3-5 and are arguably the worst team in the AFC West. Jack Del Rio is insistent that the team just needs to find their “mojo” to get back on track, but that is easier said than done.

Their Week 9 matchup against an equally uninspiring Miami Dolphins team is the perfect spot for the silver and black to bounce back. With so much doubt and uncertainty, it is worth watching just how the Raiders respond.
