Raiders Injury News: Tyrell Williams Ruled Out, Trent Brown Doubtful For Game Against Packers

The Oakland Raiders may be coming off their bye week, but they still have some key players dealing with injuries as they get ready to travel to take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.

The Raiders have received some good news on the injury front this week as starting right guard Gabe Jackson is expected to make his season debut against the Packers after dealing with a knee injury suffered during training camp.

While getting Jackson back should bolster the offense, it appears they could be without two of their best offensive players. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, wide receiver Tyrell Williams has been ruled out with a foot injury while right tackle Trent Brown is doubtful with a calf issue:

This marks the second straight game that Williams will miss and all reports out of practice this week were that his plantar fasciitis is his foot is not getting better, so it could be an extended absence for the wideout. Williams has been a key part of the Raiders’ passing offense this season, hauling in 17 receptions for 216 yards and four touchdowns, one in each game he has played.

Brown did not go into the bye with any sort of injury but hurt his calf in practice this week and now seems to be in danger of missing the game. Him being listed as doubtful and not questionable does not bode well for his chances of playing.

While the Raiders taking on a 5-1 Packers team short-handed if obviously not ideal, they can take solace in the fact that Green Bay will be missing some key players as well, including star wide receiver Davante Adams.
