The Oakland Raiders not only dropped their Week 2 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, but it also came at a cost as a number of players left with injuries.

The Raiders caught a break though as head coach Jon Gruden reported after the game that none of the injuries were believed to be serious, which bodes well for their Week 3 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.

One of those players that left with injury is the team’s top wide receiver Tyrell Williams. He is dealing with a hip pointer, but Tom Pelissero of NFL Network is reporting that he is expecting to suit up and play against the Vikings though:

Williams has already begun to develop chemistry with Derek Carr as in his first two games with the Raiders, he has caught 11 passes for a team-leading 151 yards and two touchdowns. He gives the Raiders a legitimate deep threat, which they haven’t had in a long time.

While the loss to the Chiefs was a bit of a setback, the Raiders still have high hopes for the season ahead. Their schedule does them no favors though as they do not have another home game scheduled until Nov. 3 when they host the Detroit Lions.

The most important thing for the Raiders is the development of their young players though so having Williams on the field is definitely positive news for the team moving forward.
