The Oakland Raiders earned a big road win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4 to move to 2-2 on the season, but it came at a bit of a cost.

The Raiders have been without starting right guard Gabe Jackson all season after suffering a knee injury during training camp. Jordan Devey has done a solid job filling into him to this point, although he also was injured during the win over the Colts.

Unfortunately, the injury was worst-case scenario as head coach Jon Gruden revealed after the game that Devey tore his pectoral muscle and will miss the remainder of the season, per Josh Schrock of NBC Sports:

The win moved the Raiders’ record to 2-2, but the Silver and Black suffered a loss ahead of their Week 5 showdown with the Chicago Bears. Offensive guard Jordan Devey tore his pectoral muscle and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, coach Jon Gruden announced.

The most recent update on Jackson before Sunday’s game was that he could potentially return for the Raiders’ Week 5 matchup against the Chicago Bears in London. It appears that is no longer the case though as the Raiders will wait until after the Week 6 bye to bring him back to ensure he is 100% healthy:

While Devey is out for the year, Gruden told reporters that Jackson would return for the Raiders’ Week 7 matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

Denzelle Good took over at right guard for Devey when he went down with the pec injury, so he will likely be the starter against Khalil Mack and the Bears next week.

So far this season, when the Raiders have been able to protect Derek Carr, they have had success. So getting healthy and being productive upfront will be a huge key for this team moving forward.
