The Oakland Raiders have been hit with the injury bug for the second week in a row with running back Darren McFadden officially being listed as “doubtful” for Sunday night’s game against the San Diego Chargers.

Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reported that all indications show McFadden will be out this week and possibly miss further time as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury that he sustained in last Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

McFadden’s injury already adds to a long and frustrating list of injuries he has experienced in his young NFL career that will keep him sidelined for multiple games. The Raiders expect a lengthy recovery time for their running back and hope to see McFadden back on the field in the team’s matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 27.

This news is greatly disappointing for the Raiders, but McFadden is taking it in strive as he thinks the time off will help, “out a whole lot”.

The Raiders will need to fill the void of McFadden’s absence from the running game, but having Terrelle Pryor back this week should help shoulder the load with back up running back Rashad Jennings expecting to see more touches for the offense.
