The Oakland Raiders announced that they have signed wide receiver Jalin Marshall, who last played for the Orlando Apollos in the Alliance of American Football.
Before playing in the AAF, Marshall spent two seasons with the New York Jets in 2016 and 2017 after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State.
In 10 career games with the Jets, Marshall had 14 receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 18 punt returns for 100 yards and 13 kickoff returns for 324 yards.
Marshall played two seasons at Ohio State in 2014-15. In 27 games (12 starts) for the Buckeyes, he had 74 receptions for 976 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 27 times for 175 yards and one touchdown.
The Raiders receiver room will look a lot different this year than a year ago with the additions of Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, Ryan Grant, Hunter Renfrow and now Marshall.
Marshall will have a chance to make a roster spot during training camp and the preseason, and could always end up on the Raiders practice squad for the season if it doesn’t work out.
