The 2020 season was a disappointing one for the Las Vegas Raiders after finishing 8-8 and failing to reach the postseason for the fourth straight year.
Even though the Raiders won’t be playing, the show goes on in the NFL with the first-round of the playoffs known as Wild Card Weekend beginning this weekend.
With the addition of an extra playoff team in each conference, only the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs will get byes in the first round. This was a pretty balanced year in the NFL, which makes for some quality first-round matchups in both the NFC and AFC.
The first matchup of the weekend is the Indianapolis Colts traveling to take on the Buffalo Bills, which could have been the Raiders’ matchup if they beat the Colts a few weeks back and punched their ticket to the postseason.
That will be followed by two NFC matchups in the Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Football team to finish out the day.
The focus shifts back to the AFC on Sunday with two more matchups in the Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, sandwiched by the Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints in the middle of the day.
