Coming off another disappointing season in which the Las Vegas Raiders finished 8-8 and missed the postseason, there have been talks about the organization shaking some things up this offseason.

If the Raiders truly want to make significant changes, then perhaps a change at quarterback could be in the works.

Derek Carr is coming off a solid season, although that hasn’t stopped his name from being in trade rumors this offseason. The latest reports indicate that the Raiders have no plans of trading Carr, but that could change at any time, especially if Jon Gruden has the chance to acquire a true superstar at the position.

It appears that opportunity could be presenting itself as The Athletic is reporting that the Raiders were listed as a potential destination for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, via PFF:

Adam Schefter of ESPN then provided more clarity on the situation:

If Wilson were to be dealt, the price would certainly be high, with three first-round picks being the first reported asking price. The Raiders including Carr in a deal may bring that price down, or they can potentially trade him elsewhere for extra picks to send Seattle for Wilson.

All of this is hypothetical, of course, until Wilson actually requests a trade. There is no doubt that the Seahawks will do everything they can to mend their relationship with Wilson before dealing him and entering a rebuilding phase, which every organization would like to avoid.

It’s no secret that Wilson wants to play behind a better offensive line though, which would make the Raiders a perfect fit if he were to be traded.
