While the Las Vegas Raiders will be reshaping their roster after bringing on Dave Zeigler and Josh McDaniels, their eyes will undoubtedly be glued to what happens between the Green Bay Packers and star receiver Davante Adams.

Prior to the 2021 season, the Packers and Adams failed to agree on a contract extension, but the two sides agreed they would revisit things in the offseason. However, it has almost been a couple of weeks since the season officially ended and there has yet to be any word on a new deal.

With free agency almost around the corner, it appears that Green Bay may be mulling whether or not to franchise tag their star receiver, according to Tom Silverstein of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Packers franchise is also up in the air, especially after an appearance on the Pat McAfee show where he did not confirm whether or not he will be playing in 2022. It seems like the Packers may be waiting on Rodgers before making choosing to extend Adams, but it is anyone’s guess when the quarterback will make a decision on his future.

It feels like the odds of Adams somehow ending up donning Silver and Black increase with each passing day, and Derek Carr is one person who has been vocal about wanting to bring in his former teammate. The situation could change at any moment, and it will be interesting to see how things play out in the coming weeks.
