Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have been hard at work this offseason, signing a number of impact free agents to improve the team for the 2019 season.
One area of need that had to be addressed was the running back position as Marshawn Lynch is currently a free agent and all signs point to him headed back to retirement after two seasons in Oakland.
The Raiders have already brought in one running back, signing former New York Jets bell-cow Isaiah Crowell to a one-year contract.
It appears they are not done addressing that position though as according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, they are hosting former Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin for a visit on Thursday:
The #Raiders aren’t done looking at veteran RBs: Source said they are working out RB Robert Turbin, formerly of the #Colts, on Thursday.

So far this offseason, just about every free agent the Raiders have hosted for a visit has gone on to sign a contract with the team. So it may be just a matter of time before Turbin is wearing the Silver and Black.
With Crowell and Jalen Richard also under contract, Turbin would have a tough time finding playing time with the Raiders in 2019. He has only played in eight games the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, totaling just 27 carries.
Overall in seven NFL seasons, Turbin has carried the ball 355 times for 1,354 yards and nine touchdowns. He also is a receiving threat, catching 86 balls for 688 yards and three touchdowns.
After the seeing the offensive weapons he had to throw to last season, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has to be happy with the supporting cast that is being built around him for the 2019 season.
