The Las Vegas Raiders’ disappointing 2022 season reached a new low on Sunday with a 27-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9.

The Raiders jumped out to an impressive 17-0 lead early in the second quarter but saw it evaporate over the final 40 minutes of the game with poor play and coaching.

It marked the third time the Raiders squandered a 17-0 lead this season, which has happened only five times in the team’s first 61 years of existence.

Portland Trail Blazers star and lifelong Raiders fan Damian Lillard took to Twitter to vent after the latest collapse and said he would understand if Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby and Darren Waller eventually wanted out of Las Vegas:

Adams has been just as advertised in his first season with the Raiders and certainly did his part to prevent a loss against the Jaguars. Despite catching just one ball for no yards in the second half, he finished his day with 10 receptions, 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Crosby also has been his usual productive self this year, recording six sacks in his first eight games. However, he has not accumulated one since Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

As for Waller, he continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Pro Bowl tight is nearing a return, however, as he has been a limited participant in practice the past two weeks and could potentially suit up against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.
