Throughout most of the 2023 NFL season, superstar wide receiver Davante Adams was frustrated with his Las Vegas Raiders situation, with then-head coach Josh McDaniels not being the right man for the job and veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo not cutting as the starter.

Even though the Raiders made a drastic change to fire McDaniels and promote Antonio Pierce as interim head coach while also benching Garoppolo in favor of starting rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell, in which Adams seemed to approve both moves, the storied franchise still faces an uncertain future.

Although Adams has frequently maintained his desire to stay with the Raiders moving forward, the veteran wide receiver has constantly been mentioned in trade rumors, which don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

Former Raiders wideout DeSean Jackson made things much more interesting recently by claiming that Adams isn’t happy with his situation in Las Vegas via The Herd with Colin Cowherd Show.

“This one’s tough because me and Davante we’ve talked. I hate to do it because I don’t want to be the guy that’s ‘Oh, D-Jax said this and said that,’ but at the end of the day [Adams] isn’t happy,’ Jackson said. “You go from Aaron Rodgers, then you come to the Las Vegas Raiders, and it just didn’t quite work out, so now I just don’t think he’s really that happy there.”

The immediate future for Adams will likely depend on how the Raiders’ first half of the 2024 campaign goes because if it starts to go south, the veteran wide receiver might begin to change his tune about staying in Las Vegas and ask to be traded, or the team’s brass might move him to get value for him on the trade market.

The team’s success may hinge on veteran newcomer Gardner Minshew being named the new starter for Week 1. If he isn’t cutting it, there’s a good chance it starts to feel like Garoppolo all over again, which won’t bode well for Adams or the Raiders.

Davante Adams’ Madden 25 Rating Revealed

The Las Vegas Raiders might not be expected to make much noise during the 2024 NFL season, especially on Madden 25, but the three-time All-Pro wide receiver is still highly regarded in the popular video game.

Adams is one of the highest-rated wide receivers in this year’s edition of the game.
