According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Las Vegas Raiders have done the seemingly impossible by landing arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL in Davante Adams, formerly of the Green Bay Packers.
Blockbuster: Packers are trading Pro-Bowl WR Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders for two prime 2022 picks, league sources tell ESPN.

The speculation has been brewing for quite some time about the immediate future of Adams. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr let it be known on more than one occasion that he wanted to reunite with his Fresno State teammate and there was mutual interest there from the perennial Pro Bowler.
However, the Raiders aren’t a franchise to make major moves like this nor did it seem as if the Packers would part ways with their second-best player behind Aaron Rodgers, especially after the quarterback decided to return to the team.
It appears the situation with the Packers was unrepairable and Adams was intent on playing elsewhere, with a reunion with Carr in Las Vegas being the obvious destination.
While Aaron Rodgers was negotating his contract, he knew Davante Adams would never play for the #Packers again. The situation was too far gone. Something had to give. And when Adams informed GB he wasn’t playing on the tag, talks got fired up. Now, Adams will be on the #Raiders. https://t.co/YTAxHov0Rj

The real question after the trade was announced is what did the Raiders give up for the league’s best receiver. It appears the asking price was high but incredibly reasonable for a team going all-in on the 2022 campaign.

With Adams making the Raiders offense a scary sight for any opposing defense, Las Vegas still has some work to do in free agency. There are issues on the offensive line as well as on defense.
Las Vegas addressed bolstered their defense with the addition of Chandler Jones to pair with Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby as well as adding corner Rock Ya-Sin into the mix. However, it could be argued that more needs to be done in order to truly make this team a contender moving forward.
Although more work needs to be done, the new regime with Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler leading the way have proven they’re willing to make moves to get it done.
