HBO and the Oakland Raiders announce that the premiere of ‘Hard Knocks’ will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
When it was announced that the Raiders would be featured on the annual docu-series this season, it came as no surprise considering all of the storylines they have surrounding them during Training Camp this year, their final season in Oakland.
The Raiders begin Training Camp in Napa, Calif. on Tuesday, starting the six-week journey leading up to the start of the 2019 regular season that HBO will document.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr recently revealed that he had a camera crew at his house shooting for the show:
Hard knocks starting at the house today… might as well have fun with it. Anyone need a shoutout? Any mixtapes out there need some help?? #HardKnocks

Some of the storylines that HBO will likely cover are Carr and getting acquainted with his new receiving corps, namely Antonio Brown, head coach Jon Gruden and his handling of the roster, the team’s trip to Canada where they will host the Green Bay Packers for a preseason game, and the organization’s upcoming move to Las Vegas, among many others.
The Raiders released a few posters for the show that feature all of Gruden, Carr and Brown:

‘Hard Knocks’ will have a total of five episodes every Tuesday beginning Aug. 6, which will take Raiders fans almost all the way up until the start of the season.
