Raiders Video: Derek Carr Once Again Works Out With Dozens Of Teammates In Attendance

After an offseason with a ton of roster changes, the Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of work to do to get prepared for the 2020 season.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has restricted the team’s ability to meet and workout in person, so players have been forced to get things done on their own over the last three months.

As the pandemic has gotten under control though, the NFL’s restrictions have begun to loosen up. The league has begun allowing coaches to return to offices in recent weeks, and although there won’t be any in-person minicamps, training camp is expected to start on time in July.

Meanwhile, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is doing everything he can to stay in shape to be ready for the 2020 season, including working out and throwing with some of his new teammates. The Raiders brought in some new weapons for him through the draft and free agency such as Henry Ruggs III, Bryan Edwards, Lynn Bowden Jr., Nelson Agholor and Jason Witten, so it will take some time for Carr to get acquainted and build chemistry with his teammates.

Carr recently posted his second video working out with teammates on his YouTube page, and this time, there were dozens of Raiders players joining him at a Las Vegas park:

While team workouts are not yet allowed, it is good to see that Carr is taking it upon himself to get his teammates together in a safe way to begin building that chemistry.

The Raiders lacked any sort of vertical offense in 2019, so hopefully the addition of the new weapons at Carr’s disposal will lead to some more throws down the field in 2020.
