The NFL offseason is about as eventful as ever as several big name players have either been moved or are looking for a change of scenery. The Las Vegas Raiders could be one of those teams involved in one of those big moves.

In particular, the quarterback market is arguably as fruitful as it ever has been as multiple signal-callers have voiced their displeasure with their current teams. The Los Angeles Rams kicked things off when they traded Jared Goff for Matthew Stafford, while the Philadelphia Eagles shipped off Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts.

Deshaun Watson entered the offseason as the biggest name likely to be moved, but that changed after reports that Russell Wilson is unhappy with the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson’s relationship with head coach Pete Carroll seems to be strained to the point that a trade is plausible, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Seahawks have the stomach to move off their star.

Wilson’s agent revealed a shortlist that included the Las Vegas Raiders, but according to Bill Williamson of Silver and Black Pride, it appears they have not shown any interest in trading for Wilson:

The Las Vegas Raiders may be on Russell Wilson’s short list, but at this point it appears they are not interested in pursuing a trade for the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback.

A source close to the situation told Silver and Black Pride on Monday that the Raiders have not shown much interest in making a trade with the Seahawks for Wilson.

This might raise some eyebrows as players of Wilson’s caliber do not become available very often, and the Raiders might be making a mistake by not at least discussing a potential trade. Derek Carr looked rejuvenated during the 2020 season, but even the most optimistic Las Vegas fan has to admit that Wilson is a much better option under center.

Wilson’s trade saga is a fascinating one to watch as he is one of the few players that could shake up the 2021 season. Although the Silver and Black do not appear to be inclined to make such a drastic move, things could always change in the next several weeks.
